Thanks to improved scoring from stars Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson, the Warriors (14-7) have turned things around since a four-game losing streak and seem back on track. Durant scored 44 and Thompson added 31 in Saturday’s entertaining 117-116 win over Sacramento.
The Magic (10-10) are riding high after knocking off LeBron James and the Lakers 108-104 on Sunday afternoon. Orlando center Nikola Vucevic, who averages team-highs of 20.4 points and 11.3 rebounds, poured in 31 in the win. San Jose’s Aaron Gordon added 17 points for Orlando.
The Warriors will once again be without All-Stars Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, which should help Orlando’s chances of snapping Golden State’s 10-game winning streak against the Magic. Both Curry and Green are expected to play during the Warriors’ upcoming five-game East Coast trip, which begins Thursday in Toronto.
In addition, Golden State continues to operate without surprising bench contributor Alfonzo McKinnie, who has a left foot injury. Like our Warriors Facebook page for more Warriors news, commentary and conversation.
